The Bauer Supreme 3S Intermediate Goalie Blocker has taken a page out of the previous version S29 and bumped it up a notch.
Using the same build blueprint as the Ultrasonic line, the 3S beefed up the finger protection to closely match it's big sibling. The improvements seen here are the ability to grip the stick a better while still maintaining an elite level of protection. Using Poron and Shocklite materials in the fingers and sidewall increase protection but maintaining a lighter weight. Using these materials allows for better impact dispersal.
The outer layer of the blocker is made with Bauer's CORTech ST that is seen on their pads and gloves. A highly durable yet lightweight material, it also absorbs shot impact better than most but also allows for more aggressive rebounds.
The Shocklite found on the blocking board is tested to absorb impact but deflect rebounds in a more consistent manner.
Moving to the blocker cuff, Bauer used the same free floating design found on the pro version. A segmented cuff that is fully adjustable with one easy to use strap, the free floating properties is able to fit any chest and arm protector and give you the movement and wrist rotation needed when handling pucks, shooting or deflecting rebounds.
For added durability and enhanced feel, Bauer has used the Quattro palm that has better feel and enhanced stick control. It also absorbs moisture, keeping the grip uniform and in control.
